This booklet follows one branch of the Coulson family who were
millers, wheelwrights and wood-turners in North Yorkshire for several
generations. They worked around 12 different mills between the North York Moors
and the coast. The Coulsons married into the Garbutt, Ayre and Cowell families,
all of whom were millers or closely related to millers. The booklet includes
several photos of the mills and family trees of the main branches.
